I found a recipe on Pinterest four years ago and I have been hooked ever since, the recipe I first used was for pecans and it is amazing! But around the holidays a mixed nut bowl is a staple so why not throw this concoction on all of the nuts?

Cinnamon Sugar Nuts

Yields: 4 cups

Ingredients

4 cups of nuts of your choice

2 egg whites

1/2 tablespoon vanilla extract

1/2 tablespoon water

1 cup of sugar

1 tablespoon of cinnamon

1/2 teaspoon of salt

Directions

Preheat oven to 250 degrees Fahrenheit and line a baking sheet with aluminum foil. Put your nuts in a gallon sized zipper bag.

In a small bowl combine the egg whites, vanilla and water.

Add the sugar, cinnamon and salt in to the wet ingredients and mix well.

Pour mixture over the bag of nuts and toss together until evenly coated.

Dump mixture out on to prepared baking sheet and cook for one hour stirring every 15 minutes.
