I’ll be honest, I’m not a huge fan of pork, but I love these pork chops! Fork tender, don’t need a knife, and full of barbeque-ey deliciousness. Some of this recipe is to taste though, I used a Cajun spice rub on the pork before I pan fry it, you can use whatever seasonings you prefer or none at all. Also I open a bottle of BBQ sauce for this recipe, none homemade, so just use whatever you prefer!

BBQ Pork Chops

1 cup of BBQ sauce

1/3 cup of water

4 small pork chops

2 Tablespoons of Cajun spice mix (or whatever seasonings preferred)

Preheat oven to 375. Get a large skillet nice and hot over medium-high heat. Put your seasoning mixture over one side of each pork chop, then place seasoning side down in hot skillet.

Add seasoning to the top side of the pork chops and allow to cook about 5 minutes on each side until crispy. This step is not meant to cook  the chops all the way through, just to develop some caramelization.

Once each side is crispy, add each chop to a baking dish small enough for all sides to touch. Use the water to deglaze the hot pan and scrape up any bits stuck to the bottom. Once everything is dissolved add the BBQ sauce and allow to simmer for a few minutes.

Pour mixture over the chops and bake for 20-30 minutes or until done.
